Concessions for first home buyers have been wound back. However, what is remaining is still quite generous. In NSW, you pick up $7,000 when buying your first home, provided the cost of the home is less than $750,000. You also benefit from stamp duty concessions whereby you don’t pay any stamp duty for purchases up to $500,000 and reduced stamp duty if you buy a home for between $500,000 and $600,000.
Most lenders now require genuine saving of between 3% and 5% accumulated over at least a three month period. But there are exceptions. Please give us a ring on 02 4322 3588 or send us an email to consider your particular circumstances.
You can use our deposit calculator for an indication of how much you will need to contribute.
